PHOTC specific mandate is to exercise general supervision and control over the training, practice and employment of public health officers and technicians in Kenya and to advice the government in relation to all aspects thereof.
The aim of the Council is to bridge the HRH gap through regulation of Public Health training and the promotion of ethics, integrity and professionalism in Public health practice.
Our desire is to promote competency-based training that transits to skill-based practice among public health professionals who are fit-for-purpose in the rapidly emerging and re-emerging public health environment.
