Public Health Officers and Technicians Council PHOTC, paid courtesy call to Nakuru County. The consultative meeting between the Public Health Officers and Technicians Council (PHOTC) and the County Government of Nakuru was held at the Margaret Kenyatta Mother Baby Wing Boardroom. The high-level engagement focused on enhancing compliance with the PHOTC Act No. 12 of 2013, strengthening professionalism, and building capacity among Public Health Officers and Technicians in the county.
PHOTC representatives alongside senior Nakuru County officials: Roselyn Mungai (County Executive Committee Member for Health), Chief Officer for Public Health, County Director of Public Health, and County Public Health Officer.
The meeting concluded with a strong commitment to continuous collaboration, improved data management, strategic staffing, professional development, Compliance with the PHOTC Act No. 12 of 2013 and environmental health action plans,all aimed at advancing primary healthcare and public health standards.
PHOTC specific mandate is to exercise general supervision and control over the training, practice and employment of public health officers and technicians in Kenya and to advice the government in relation to all aspects thereof.
