PHOTC Curriculum Finalization Technical Team Workshop December 2025

The Public Health Officers and Technicians Council (PHOTC), in collaboration with AMREF International University (AMIU) and other experts, convened a Core Curriculum Finalization Workshop at Eagle Palace Hotel, Nakuru, starting from 9th – 12th December 2025. The participants in the workshop are Council staff members, curriculum experts from academia, the AMREF Regional Manager, and AMIU staff.

The workshop was officially opened by the Ag. Chief Executive Officer of PHOTC, Mr. Anthony Wainaina, who, in his opening remarks, emphasized the critical role of fine-tuning the instruction document for all levels of exit, the need to ensure emerging developments and evolving needs in the health sector are captured and aligned to have a responsive and resilient workforce.

The workshop aimed to refine the documents to fit for purpose across all training institutions offering the Public Health Program. This will advance the quality, relevance, and standardization of training.
